Cardiff is a modern, vibrant city with trailblazing architecture and new urban developments. Its also home to some beautiful parks and gardens that are well worth a visit.
Here are our favourites……
Bute Park
This grade 1 listed park is the main park in the centre of Cardiff. A spacious 130acres of landscaped gardens and parkland that once formed the grounds of Cardiff Castle. Take a beautiful walk along the River Taff and enjoy a fantastic coffee or lunch from one of the cafes throughout the park.
Cefn Onn Park
This grade 2 listed country park was created in the valley of the Nant Fawr stream. It has a magnificent collection of native and exotic trees. Its lovely to walk around the valley and also gives access to Caerfilly Mountain trails.
Roath Park Gardens
This is a truly beautiful park, maintaining a classic Victorian atmosphere throughout its facilities and architecture. It has been awarded the Green Fall Award for high quality and importance. Enjoy the many birds, gardens, take a boat on the lake and grab an ice cream in this lovely park.
Victoria Park
This grade 2 listed park is one of Cardiffs most loved in the Western suburb of Canton. Its colourful flower boarders and wide range of facilities make it well worth a visit. There are a number of lovely coffee shops, deli’s and restaurants dotted around the park perfect for a spot of lunch.
